Genomics Africa Fellow: Hamidah Namagembe Suubi

Hamidah Namagembe Suubi is a Medical Scientist at the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI).

Hamidah Namagembe Suubi received training on SARS-CoV-2 Illumina sequencing in order to increase genomics surveillance in Uganda.

Duration of the fellowship: 28 August to 5 September 2021.

Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Illumina sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.

Genomics Africa Fellowship: A program of CERI and partners at Stellenbosch and UKZN in collaboration with the Rockefeller Foundation and the Africa Centre for Diseases Control (Africa CDC).
