Genomics Africa Fellow: Clayton Munemo

Clayton Munemo is a district laboratory scientist at the Ministry of Health and Child Care and rapid responder with Africa CDC in Zimbabwe.

Clayton Munemo came to this fellowship at CERI in Stellenbosch University to receive training on SARS-CoV-2 sequencing in order to increase genomics surveillance in Zimbabwe. 

Duration of the fellowship: 2 to 12 November 2021.

Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
