Julius Sseruyange is a researcher at the Uganda Nation Health Laboratory Service.
Julius Sseruyange came to this fellowship at KRISP in University of KwaZulu-Natal and CERI at University of Stellenbosch to receive training on SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB and other pathogen sequencing to combat disease outbreaks such as COVID-19, Ebola , Cholera and future outbreaks by enabling rapid and accurate pathogen detection, tracking, and characterization.
Duration of the fellowship: 10 April 2023 to 21 April 2023.
Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and Illumina COVID-seq sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
