GENOMICS AFRICA FELLOW: LELE BRENDA GRACE

Lele Brenda Grace is a student at the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon.

Lele Brenda Grace came to this fellowship at KRISP at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and CERI at the University of Stellenbosch to receive training on SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB and other pathogen sequencing to improve their skills in genomic and bioinformatics to keep health systems alert to emerging infectious diseases such as Covid-19 and ultimately, to reduce the incidence and impact of these diseases on the populations of Cameroon in particular and the world in general.

Duration of the fellowship:  10 April 2023 to 21 April 2023.

Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and Illumina COVID-seq sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
