Mariam Makange is the principal laboratory technologist at the SACIDS FOUNDATION at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania.
Mariam Makange came to this fellowship at KRISP at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and CERI at the University of Stellenbosch to receive training on SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB and other pathogen sequencing to improve genomic surveillance and bioinformatics analysis especially in COVID-19 pandemic for combating future outbreaks to my country and expand our international smart partnership and reinforce the genomics research group at the SACIDS foundation for One Health.
Duration of the fellowship: 10 April 2023 to 21 April 2023.
Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and Illumina COVID-seq sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
