Chifundo Salifu is a molecular biologist and currently she is pursuing a PhD with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and while based at the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome (MLW) Clinical Research Programme. Her research focuses on multiplex real-time PCR assays for diagnosing Central Nervous System infections and utilizing metagenomics for pathogen detection. Chifundo is also involved in genomic surveillance of infectious pathogens.
