Mutsa Takundwa is a Senior Researcher from South Africa, working at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), a leading institution in scientific and industrial research. With a PhD specializing in Genetics and Oncology, her work focuses on gynaecological cancers, particularly ovarian and uterine cancers. Collaborating with academic hospitals in Gauteng, she is enhancing tumour profiling and investigating chemotherapeutic drug responses among African patients. Dr. Takundwa’s vision extends to expanding her research to include breast and cervical cancers, which are underexplored yet critical for the health of African patients. She recently participated in hands-on training to integrate KAPA library preparation kits into her workflows, a crucial step for advancing her research.
