GENOMICS AFRICA FELLOW: ESTER KASISI ADAMSON

Ester Kasisi Adamson is a Laboratory technologist at the SACIDS Foundation for One Health in Tanzania.

Ester Kasisi Adamson came to this fellowship at KRISP in University of KwaZulu-Natal and CERI at University of Stellenbosch to receive training on SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB and other pathogen sequencing to apply genomics in understanding viral epidemiology and the host immune response that protects other species from infection.

Duration of the fellowship:  10 April 2023 to 21 April 2023.

Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and Illumina COVID-seq sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
