GENOMICS AFRICA FELLOW: EVALYNE NYAMBURA WAMBUGU

Evalyne Nyambura Wambugu is a masters student at the University of Embu in Kenya.

Evalyne Nyambura Wambugu came to this fellowship at KRISP in University of KwaZulu-Natal and CERI at University of Stellenbosch to receive training on SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB and other pathogen sequencing in order to improve genomic surveillance in Malawi by producing more genomic data and analytical information.

Duration of the fellowship:  10 April 2023 to 21 April 2023.

Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and Illumina COVID-seq sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
