Janet Majanja is a PhD student at the Kenya Medical Research Institute.
Janet Majanja came to this fellowship at KRISP in University of KwaZulu-Natal and CERI at University of Stellenbosch to receive training on SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB and other pathogen sequencing in order to improve genomic surveillance by increasing expertise locally to share more genomic data with the world.
Duration of the fellowship: 10 April 2023 to 21 April 2023.
Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and Illumina COVID-seq sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
