GENOMICS AFRICA FELLOW: IBRAHIMM MUGERWA

Ibrahimm Mugerwa is the program officer at the National Antimicrobial Resistance Program and Global Health Security Agenda.

Ibrahimm Mugerwa came to this fellowship at KRISP in University of KwaZulu-Natal and CERI at University of Stellenbosch to receive training on SARS-CoV-2, HIV, TB and other pathogen sequencing to improve their skills for better global health disease models for applied epidemiology as a frontline public health specialist.

Duration of the fellowship:  10 April 2023 to 21 April 2023.

Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) and Illumina COVID-seq sequencing and bioinformatics analysis.
