GENOMICS AFRICA FELLOW: Harriet Ng’ombe

Harriet Ng’ombe is a Research Fellow at CIDRZ and a PhD student at Stellenbosch University with a strong passion for genomics and bioinformatics. Her research focuses on cholera immunology, including vaccine effectiveness and strain validation, as well as COVID-19 and Norovirus surveillance. She collaborates with Johns Hopkins University and the Wellcome Sanger Institute, investigating the genetic characteristics of V. cholerae strains. She is enthusiastic about advancing research and connecting with others in her field.
