GENOMICS AFRICA FELLOW: Sètondji Islamiath KISSIRA

Sètondji Islamiath KISSIRA is a medical virologist and research scientist at the National Laboratory for Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers and Genomic Surveillance of Infections with Epidemic Potential in Benin. She works on genomic surveillance of SARS-CoV-2, influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, Dengue, Lassa, Zika, Chikungunya, monkeypox viruses, and Plasmodium falciparum. She also handles bioinformatics analyses and is a research assistant in microbiology at the University of Abomey-Calavi, focusing on antimicrobial resistance.
