GENOMICS AFRICA FELLOW: Dr Odianosen Ehiakhamen

Dr. Odianosen Ehiakhamen is a medical and epidemiological expert at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control & Prevention (NCDC). Holding a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Benin, and Master’s degrees in Public Health and Field Epidemiology from the University of Benin and University of Ibadan, respectively, he brings extensive knowledge in disease surveillance and outbreak management. As a Fellow of the Nigeria Field Epidemiology Training Program (NFETP), he leads the National Mpox Technical Working Group, coordinating risk assessments and case management. Dr. Ehiakhamen excels in strategic planning, data analysis, and providing technical expertise in public health response.
